As one of South Africa's leading producers of pork products, Eskort ascribes to the professional practices of the leading pork producers.

Eskort is confident that our procurement practices demand the necessary interventions to prevent sub-standard/incorrect supplies to reach our operating units. All pig suppliers are Pork 360 conformant meaning that the producers are obliged to meet standards in the areas of bio-security, health and hygiene and animal welfare and to remain compliant, independent audits are conducted on a regular basis at each farm.

All other meat species moving into Eskort are supported by a Certificate of Analysis which verifies and confirms that the purchase is what it was intended to be. Raw materials are monitored through the batch manufacturing system and product coding to provide traceability records should they be required.

Heidelberg and Estcourt are both export accredited, are monitored by state appointed veterinarians and have the following certification;

• SABS SANS 10330:2007 (Heidelberg)
• SABS PAS 220:2008 (Heidelberg)
• FSSC 22000 (Estcourt)
• Certificate of AcceptabilityTMTZ/COA/33
Uthukela Municipality (Estcourt)
• Certificate of Acceptability Lesedi Local Municipality (Heidelberg)

In addition both plants are audited by our trading partners at least annually.
