- 750 ml (3 C) self-raising flour
- 5 ml (1 t) salt
- 250 ml (1 C) warm water
- oil for deep frying
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. knead the dough until smooth.
- Heat oil in a large pot.
- Divide the dough into 12 balls and fry them in the hot oil until golden.
- Remove from the oil and drain on a kitchen towel.
Serve with fillings of your choice.
