Serve Viennas with the baked mash as a dip.
Smoked Viennas with Chakalaka Mash
Ingredients
- 500 g Eskort Smoked Viennas
- 4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 250 ml (1 C) chakalaka
- 250 ml (1 C) cheddar cheese
- 250 ml (1 C) cream
- 45 ml (3 T) oil for frying
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- In a frying pan over moderate heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until glossy.
- Combine mash, onions, chakalaka, cheese and cream.
- Transfer to an oven dish and bake the mash until charred.
- Heat the Viennas in a frying pan.
