Serve with a choice of butter, grated cheese and jam, and allow the kids to choose their own toppings.
Dynamite Mini Ham and Cheese Donuts
Ingredients
- 500g Eskort Picnic Ham, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 250ml (1 cup) Cheddar cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 500g store-bought bread dough
- 250ml (1 cup) of your favourite potato chips, crushed
- Oil, for deep frying
Method
- Heat up the oil in a medium-sized pot over a moderate heat.
- Knead the ham and cheese cubes into the bread dough.
- Roll out the dough on a flour-dusted surface.
- Use a large round cookie cutter to cut the donuts out of the dough and a smaller one to create the hole in the centre of each donut.
- Brush your donuts with oil and allow to rest for a few minutes.
- Deep-fry the donuts until golden brown.
- Sprinkle the donuts with the crushed potato chips immediately after removal from the hot oil.
