Standard terms and conditions for competitions

Eskort Trolley Dash Competition

1. The promoter of this competition is Eskort (Pty) Ltd.
2. The competition is open to South African residents only.
3. Entrants must be over the age of 18.
4. The following persons are excluded from this competition:

• A director, member, partner, employee, or agent of, or consultant to Eskort or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Eskort;
• a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition
• the spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of the parties referred to above.

5. To enter, participants are required to purchase R300 or more in participating stores, write their details on their till slip and insert their slip into the competition entry box in store.
6. All entries, duly completed, must be received by Eskort (Pty) Ltd. before the competition closing date and time. If not, such entry will not be eligible, regardless of the reason for the late receipt of the entry, including due to lost, late or misdirected mail; printing errors; server unavailability; or computer or any other electronic or telecommunications malfunction.
7. All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, or illegible will be void.
8. Entrants are allowed multiples entries. Every qualifying till slip will count as an entry.
9. The grand prize comprises of a 30 (thirty) second trolley dash through an Eskort store. See dash terms and conditions.
10. There will be 2 runner up prizes consisting of an Eskort Store voucher.

WINNER SELECTION

11. 3 Finalists will be selected randomly from valid participants on the 5^th of March 2025.
12. The finalists will be notified by means of the contact details provided to Eskort (Pty) Ltd. on the closing date.
13. Should the finalist be unable to attend the event, they will forfeit the prize and another finalist will be chosen.

GENERAL RULES

14. The prize is non-transferable or exchangeable for cash.
15. We reserve the right to cancel this competition, or to change the rules at our discretion or to change the prize at any time without notice to you.
16. We reserve the right to refuse payment or handing over of a prize to any potential winner who refuses to, or cannot, provide sufficient documentation to verify his/her identity.
17. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
18. You may not be awarded a prize if it is unlawful for us to supply such a prize to you.
19. If any entry has been made in any manner which in Eskort (Pty) Ltd. discretion may provide an entrant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, unless these rules specifically allow such conduct, such entrant will be automatically disqualified from this.
20. The Competition will run from 19 February 2023 at 09h00 to 5 March 2025 at 23:59 (the “Competition Period”).
21. Entries received after the closing date of the Competition Period will not be considered.
22. Eskort may in its sole discretion elect to discontinue the Competition at any time during the Competition Period.

The trolley Dash

23. The grand prize winner of the trolley dash will be given 30 (thirty) seconds to run through the store and collect Eskort products of their choosing.
24. The winner is only allowed a maximum of 2 (two) items of a single product.
25. The winner is not allowed assistance from any outside party including family, friends, store staff or onlookers. Should any assistance be given, the dash will be stopped, all products will be returned, and the dash will start again.
26. Should the winner be found to be untruthful or uncompliant, they will forfeit, and the trolley dash prize will be given to a runner up.
27. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
