Serve the sausages and the eggs on the sarmies and garnish with the fresh basil.
Comfort Breakfast, Pork Sausage Sarmie
Ingredients
- 350g Eskort Gold Medal Pork Sausages
- 4 large slices sour dough bread
- ½ C cottage cheese
- ½ C sundried tomatoes
- 2 C grated white cheese
- 4 eggs poached/boiled
- 1 hand fresh basil
- 1 T oil
- 2 C water
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Turn the grill function of your oven on.
- Place the pork sausages in a frying pan with 2 cups of water and the oil.
- Place the pan over a moderate heat, cook the sausages in the water until the water evaporates and then fry the sausages in the remaining oil on both sides until golden for 10-15 min.
- Toast the bread and spread the slices with the cottage cheese.
- Add the sundried tomatoes, and the white cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper
- Grill the sarmies until the cheese has melted.
