Creamy Tomato & Pork Neck Soup with Grilled Cheese Baguette

  • 1 pack Eskort Smoked Pork Neck Steaks, cut into cubes
  • 125ml (½ cup) leeks, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 750ml (3 cups) Hearty Tomato Sauce
  • 250ml (1 cup) cream
  • 45ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
  • 1 baguette
  • 125ml (½ cup) white cheddar
  • 60ml (¼ cup) Gorgonzola
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut in half for serving
  • 15ml (1 tbsp) black sesame seeds, for garnish


  • Switch on the oven grill.
  • Creamy Tomato and Pork Neck Soup
  • Heat olive oil in a pot over a moderate heat.
  • Fry the pork neck, leeks and chilli until the pork is cooked and leeks are glossy.
  • Add the tomato sauce and cream, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Close the lid and allow the soup to come to a boil.
  • Grilled Cheese Baguette
  • With a knife at a 45 degree angle, slice the baguette and place the slices on a baking tray.
  • Cover each slice with white cheddar and Gorgonzola cheese.
  • Place under the grill until cheese is melted and golden brown.


Spoon a portion of the soup into a bowl, add a dollop of cream and garnish with black sesame seeds.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the soup and serve with warm slices of grilled cheese baguette.
