Dark Chocolate Candied Bacon
Ingredients
- 200 g Eskort Rindless Streaky Bacon
- 250 ml dark chocolate
- 30 ml candied ginger
- 30 ml candied orange
- 65 ml almond flakes
- 30 ml coarse salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Place bacon on the lined baking tray and bake until the bacon is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
- Dip ¾ of the crispy bacon into the chocolate and place on a cooling rack.
- Sprinkle the bacon with candied ginger, orange and toasted almond flakes while the chocolate is still soft.
