Dukkah Spiced Frikkadels

  • Frikkadels:
  • 650 g Eskort Mini Frikkadels
  • dukkah spice
  • 45 ml olive oil
  • Amasi Flat bread:
  • 250 ml Amasi
  • 500 ml self-raising flour
  • 10 ml coarse salt
  • 65 ml olive oil
  • Coleslaw:
  • 750 ml green cabbage, shredded
  • 250 ml coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green chili
  • 65 ml olive oil
  • zest and juice from one lemon
  • 125 ml cream cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Frikkadels:
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan over a high heat and fry frikkadels for 8-10 minutes.
  • Season with dukkah spice and set
  • Amasi Flat bread:
  • In a large mixing bowl add the Amasi, flour and salt.
  • Mix until a ball of dough forms.
  • Kneed for five minutes and cover with a damp cloth. Allow dough to rest for two minutes. .
  • Divide the dough into 4-6 pieces and roll out.
  • Brush the bread with olive oil and fry in a large frying pan over a moderate heat until golden and crispy on both sides.
  • Set
  • Coleslaw:
  • Add the shredded cabbage, coriander leaves, red onion and chili.
  • Mix until everything is well dressed with the cream cheese.
  • Top the flatbread with coleslaw and add the frikkadels.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste


In a large mixing bowl add olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice and cream cheese, mix well until combined. Season with salt and pepper.
