Dynamite Mini Ham and Cheese Donuts

  • 500g Eskort Picnic Ham, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 250ml (1 cup) Cheddar cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 500g store-bought bread dough
  • 250ml (1 cup) of your favourite potato chips, crushed
  • Oil, for deep frying


  • Heat up the oil in a medium-sized pot over a moderate heat.
  • Knead the ham and cheese cubes into the bread dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a flour-dusted surface.
  • Use a large round cookie cutter to cut the donuts out of the dough and a smaller one to create the hole in the centre of each donut.
  • Brush your donuts with oil and allow to rest for a few minutes.
  • Deep-fry the donuts until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle the donuts with the crushed potato chips immediately after removal from the hot oil.


Serve with a choice of butter, grated cheese and jam, and allow the kids to choose their own toppings.
