Ham and Cheese Pull Apart Bread
Ingredients:
- 1kg Mini Picnic ham, thinly sliced
- 3 C Cake flour
- 1 T Salt
- 1 Packet instant dry yeast
- 1 ½ C water
- 2 C Cheddar cheese, sliced
- 2 C mozzarella cheese, sliced
- ½ C Cream cheese
- ¼ C Basil pesto
- ¼ C Parmesan cheese slices
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°
- Add the flour and salt to a large mixing.
- Combine the water and yeast in a jug and allow to rest for 5 min.
- Add the water to the flour and knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Set the dough aside to proof until it is doubled in size.
- Roll the pastry out and layer it with the ham and cheese.
- Cut the dough into squares and layer them on top of each other.
- Pack the layers up right in a Bundt pan and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve
- Spread the cream cheese on the loaf and add the pesto.
- Garnish with parmesan shavings and sprinkle with Eskort’s braai spice.
