Bacon spread ingredients:

  • 200g Eskort minced Bacon 
  • 1 C cream cheese

Oat bread ingredients:

  • 2C cake flour
  • 1 C flat rolled outs 
  • 2 C rye bread 
  • ½ C pumpkin seed 
  • 2 C buttermilk 
  • 4 t baking powder 
  • 1 t salt 
  • 1 C water 
  • 3 eggs

Method

  • Preheat the oven 180°C. 
  • Add the dry ingredients to a mixer or food processor. 
  • Whisk the water, buttermilk, and eggs together. 
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Scoop the batter into a greased bread tin and bake for 45 min. 
  • Fry the bacon in a frying pan over a moderate heat for 8min. 
  • Allow the bacon to cool down. 
  • Combine the bacon and the cream cheese in a small bowl and mix well.

 

Serve

  • Serve the oats bread with the bacon spread.
  • Pair these snacks with your favourite healthy veggies to make for a snack party.
