Oven-Baked Cheesy Russian Roll with Chilli Con Carne
Ingredients
- 500g Eskort Cheese Russians
- 250ml (1 cup) Hearty Tomato Sauce
- 1 tin red kidney beans
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1 red chilli, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 6 large hot dog buns
- 500ml (2 cups) mozzarella cheese, grated
- 125ml (½ cup) spring onions, chopped
- 45ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
- 5ml salt
- 5ml pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Chilli Con Carne
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over a high heat.
- Fry the red onion, red pepper and chilli until the onion is glossy.
- Add the kidney beans and tomato sauce and stir well, then remove from the heat.
- Russian Roll
- Slice open each hot dog bun from the top, but not all the way through.
- Add a cheese russian to each bun then top with the chilli con carne and mozzarella.
- Bake in the oven until the cheese melts and becomes golden-brown.
