Ingredients

  • 500 g Eskort Smoked Viennas
  • 4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 250 ml (1 C) chakalaka
  • 250 ml (1 C) cheddar cheese
  • 250 ml (1 C) cream
  • 45 ml (3 T) oil for frying

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  • In a frying pan over moderate heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until glossy.
  • Combine mash, onions, chakalaka, cheese and cream.
  • Transfer to an oven dish and bake the mash until charred.
  • Heat the Viennas in a frying pan.

Serve

Serve Viennas with the baked mash as a dip.
