The Ultimate Bacon Chesa Sarmie
Ingredients
- 400g Eskort Streaky Bacon
- 12 slices bread
- 1 C cream cheese
- ½ C jalapeno pickled
- 2 C cheddar cheese
- 3 tomatoes sliced
- 1 red onion sliced
- ¼ C butter
Method
- Place the streaky bacon into a frying pan and heat the pan over a high heat.
- Fry the bacon until crispy.
- Combine the cream cheese, jalapenos, and cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl.
- Spread all the slices with the cheese mix.
- Place the tomatoes, bacon and red onion on the sarmies and close them.
- Tie the sarmies with wet butchers’ twine and braai them for 5 min on each side over a hot fire.
