Ingredients for the Smoked Pork Neck Steaks

  • Smoked pork neck steaks
  • 1 T olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2T Thyme chopped
  • 1T chopped Garlic
  • 2 T Butter

Ingredients for the Potato Salad

  • 1Kg Cooked Potatoes (Skins on)
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1Tbs Crushed garlic
  • 3 T butter melted

Ingredients for the sauce

  • ¼ C sage chopped
  • ¼ C chives chopped
  • 2T Eskort braai spice
  • ¼ C olive oil
  • 2 T Harissa sauce
  • 1 C sour cream

Method for the Smoked Pork Neck Steaks

  • Heat a medium pan over high heat.
  • Coat the pork neck the olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Add the thyme and fry the stakes for 4-5min on each side.
  • Remove from the heat and add the garlic and butter. Keep the steaks in the pan until ready to serve.

 

Method for the Potato Salad

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  • Lay the cooked potatoes on an oven tray and smash.
  • Drizzle the potatoes with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper and grill in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Combine the sauce ingredients and mix well, add salt and pepper to taste.

 

Serve

  • Drizzle the sauce on the potatoes, serve the steaks with the potato salad and enjoy.
