Ingredients

  • 8 Eskort Monkeygland bacon burger patties (to make 4 double burgers)
  • 2 handfuls shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 6 sliced gherkins
  • 8 slices processed cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, halved and toasted
  • Oven chips, to serve (optional)

Sause

  • 60ml mayonnaise
  • 15ml Tabasco
  • 15ml tomato sauce
  • 15ml BBQ sauce

Method

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Tabasco, tomato sauce, and BBQ sauce. Stir well to mix.
  2. Cook the patties: Cook the 8 Eskort Monkeygland bacon burger patties in a pan or braai, ensuring to cook them thoroughly.
  3. Toast the buns: Toast the 4 hamburger buns until golden.
  4. Assemble the burgers: Spread the sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with shredded iceberg lettuce, followed by a patty, a slice of cheddar cheese, another patty and cheese and sliced gherkins.
  5. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with oven chips on the side if desired.
