Cheese Russian Rolls with Easy Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500 g Eskort Cheese Russians
  • 200 g Eskort Diced Bacon, fried to crispy
  • 4 hot dog rolls
  • 2 medium onions
  • 30 ml (2 T) oil, for frying
  • Cheese Sauce
  • 250 ml (1 C) processed cheese, cut into blocks
  • 250 ml (1 C) cold milk

Method

  • Slice onions into rings and deep fry in a pot over medium heat.
  • In a saucepan over moderate heat, warm milk and slowly add cheese, stirring until melted.
  • Fry the Russians in a frying pan with some olive oil over medium heat (approx. 5 minutes each side).

Serve

Assemble the rolls by adding the Russians to the buns, add the cheese sauce and top with the fried onion and bacon.
