Cottage Pie
Ingredients
- 500g Frikkadels
- 1 box “Smash”
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 2 Carrots Crated
- 4 T Olive oil
- 2 Garlic cloves Chopped
- 2 T tomato paste
- ¼ C Red wine
- 1T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tomatoes
- 3T Cheddar cheese
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over a moderate heat and add in the chopped onion and grated carrot and cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
- Add frikkadels and leave until cooked. 5-7 min.
- Fold in tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and wine, mix well turn heat down and allow to simmer for 5 min.
- Follow directions on smash packaging to prepare it, as soon as the “mash is ready fowl in the cheddar cheese.
- Place the frikkadels in an oven tray and place the mash on top.
- Bake the cottage pie for 15 min.
Serve
- Serve while it is still hot.
